Compare and Contrast Essay Example
This is an example of a compare and contrast essay using the topics: In recruiting employees, some people think that companies should recruit those innovative and able to work independently persons, while others think they should recruit those who are able to work in a team and follow instructions.
Recruitment of employees in a company usually occurs because the company is in need of someone to fill a certain position within the company. Therefore, in the employee recruitment process, it is necessary to pay attention to what kind of employees are sought and to fill such positions. It all depends on what users need in a company and what job desk will be given to new employees. There are positions that require employees who are innovative and independent individuals, and there are also those that require employees with the ability to work together in a team. Each of the 2 types above has advantages and disadvantages.
Employees
with innovative types and able to work independently in several companies are
needed for several positions such as designer, painter, tax consultant and many
more. This type of employee has several advantages
- They can
find new solutions to problems and obstacles that arise in a company
- They can
motivate other employees so that some employees are affected and they have an
improved work ethic
- They
tend to be relied on individually to do work independently without needing a
lot of people
But
don't forget, they also have some weaknesses
- Sometimes
in a job, an employee is required to be able to communicate and coordinate with
other divisions or teams when there is a change and a new project. This type of
employee will be unpredictable and maybe they will have a little trouble with
that.
- Change is necessary in a company. of course, the change is expected to be in a better direction than before. However, sometimes innovation does not always make change for the better. It can even make things worse, which is why it is important to coordinate with several teams within a company.
The
second type of employee is a person with the ability to work in a team and able
to follow orders given by the leader. This type of employee is usually required
to fill positions such as Engineer, Sales, Marketing, Information Technology
and many more. The following are the advantages of this type of employee.
- Can
reduce missed coordination between employees and teams when there is work being
done because sometimes the work done by a team will have an impact on the work
of other teams. Therefore, coordination is very important.
- The work
done will be more accurate because there will be other employees who will make
corrections to the work that has been done if there are errors there.
- Employees
who have the ability and willingness to carry out the orders given will make it
easier for the company because of course the instructions that have been given
by the leader have gone through his consideration, and if done correctly will
not cause problems.
Also,
this type of employee has a weakness
- The work
will be carried out according to the instructions but tends to take a while
because it requires confirmation from all team members whether what has been
done is correct or not.
- Tends to
be less able to deal with sudden changes because they are not used to
improvisation and always follow the instructions given.
